53' trailers

I seem to remember a few years ago some manufacturer announced that they were working on 53' trailers. I don't remember who it was, and I haven't heard anything since. Anybody remember hearing about this? Or maybe I dreamed it or was highly impaired by styrene fumes? I really like the Trainworx trailers, but they are now impossible to find.

I can't think of any at the moment, but I would love to see JTC tackle these.

I have a vague recollection too. Unless it's a totally new manufacturer, it's most likely Athearn, who already makes 28' and 40' trailers in N scale, and already makes 53' trailers (Wabash and reefer) in HO. Or perhaps Fox Valley is re-releasing the Deluxe Innovations-tooled 53' trailers. Neither of them have 53' trailers announced on their websites though.

I was thinking it was Athearn as well.  Their 53' containers are selling fairly well, hopefully this means their trailers will follow!  I know Trainworxs has a LOT of new 53' trailers coming as well (announced November 2020): http://www.train-worx.com/new.htm

Anyone happen to know the status on these? The Trainworx site says they're expected in 3rd Quarter 2021 - We're about to enter 4th Quarter 2021 in a few days.

The N Scale LTL trucks from the April 8, 2020 Trainworx News were due to be released in the first quarter of 2021 and have not yet been shipped to dealers.

Given the ongoing issues with global shipping and congested ports, it is doubtful that we will see any of these new models appear before 2022.

Yikes!

Sure hope that the Trainworx vehicles that were announced in 2020 arrive before 2024.

Thanks! No complaints here, I perfectly understand the current situation, just want to know the latest (plus, it gives me more time to save up my money :D).
