Note that even if you may have stated you wish to purchase a scale in the thread below, I had no way of tracking that and I will need additional information anyway.
Please use the link below to commit if you are still interested.
Thanks!

Keystone Details is now offering a new and improved (if that's possible) Protomate (tm) Scale ruler (formerly NZT) made from etched 0.25mm thick stainless steel.  All of the original features are there along with a new feature to allow one to accurately mark parts using 0.3mm wide grooves for a scriber or knife blade, and an N Scale wheel gauge.

Please use the following link to reserve yours and obtain pricing info, etc.  Please note there is a limited quantity, at least for the first batch of etches.

Thanks to everybody that voted and supported in the convo below!

Could a larger version be possible? 60 scale feet seems a little small for doing layouts of thing like structures...

Either way I wasn't in a position to buy these when David first came out with then so I'm in!

Ryan, thanks for the comment.

Maybe later. When etching you can only work inside a 150mmx300mm sheet and you lose 10mm as a border which reduces the total quantity on the sheet.  If this is successful, I may look into a longer version as an upgrade.

Looking at the bottom scale, are the notches and graduations fully etched through the metal?

And if so, what size mechanical pencil fits in there?

Presumably a pencil with 0.3mm leads?

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

@peteski @Philip H , yes they are thru etched, but only for the 30 feet on that edge.  The rest is half etched material.

"...a new feature to allow one to accurately mark parts using 0.3mm wide grooves for a scriber or knife blade."

The groove is designed at 0.3mm and will likely over-etch a bit so a 0.3mm Pentel pencil will work well, or a knife point for a scribe.

Cool! I like that feature (never seen it done on any steel ruler). I'm in for one!
Now I have to get a 0.3. pencil (my thinnest one is 0.5mm).

The scribing notches make this ruler a cut above.

Suggest using a hard graphite lead stick or a mylar-use stick

Keystone Details is resurrecting a new and improved (if that's possible) Protomate Scale ruler

When I first saw the topic I thought it was for the Protomate Coupler...

I'd be in for one John!!
I am wondering if you could add a wheel flange guage to it on the left side?
