I assume that the former is just a standard hard graphite lead, but what is "mylar-use stick"?

Also, how thick will this ruler be?

A Mylar use stick is a polymer "lead" that is used on a matte mylar sheets to draw on, used before CAD.  Graphite Lead is used for tracing paper and regular paper.

As mentioned in the original post the thickness will be 0.25mm thick, so rather flexible too.

The outer corners of the 9mm gauge are designed to the NMRA dimensions from outer flange to outer flange.  Nothing more was asked, and I agree that I do not want to urn this into a multi-tool.  I will use this added feature myself.  I have never had the need to own an NMRA gauge as I have never hand laid track or had the need to inspect the track I buy.

All, thank you so much for your voting, comments and support!  I have enough info to determine inventory.

I will make an official announcement on the Product Discussion page when I have them in hand and the Keystone Details page is updated with the product for ordering.

Mods, ( @John ) please close the poll and lock the thread.

And those indentations will allow the modeler to drag it across their head when frustrated thus making pulling one's hair out much easier...

Looking at the bottom scale, are the notches and graduations fully etched through the metal?

Thanks John!
As far as the NMRA gauge goes, I have it and 99% of its use is the just the Wheel gauge (I find it easier to use then the MTL gauge).  The other 1% would be to check the turnout track clearances.

I want a long one, 12” or so, but I’ll probably buy one of these as well.

For me, a 12 real inch ruler is a little cumbersome to carry around.

If I had my druthers about length, I would probably go for 6-3/4", because that is easy to keep in a shirt pocket and is 90 N scale feet long, which covers just about all of the N scale rolling stock that I look over in train shows, etc.

But, not expecting to get my "druthers".

I understand, as explained above this is the longest and largest quantity I can fit inside the fret borders.

I will be investigating an XL version to try to fit on the long axis of the fret, for those wishing for a longer scale for structure building.
