Scale Trains sound install

I have a Scale Trains turbine that is DCC sound ready Scale Trains #SXT 32602. This is a turbine with tender unit in N scale.
Trying to add an ESU #58429 decoder. I removed the jumper plug and plugged in the decoder. The decoder is a 21 pin HO decoder.
This per Scale Trains is the correct decoder.
This is where I see problem- the decoder keeps the original light board from sitting down onto the frame. Can not use screw to hold down the light board.
Any one ever update one of these?

I should have posted this in the DCC section?
Maybe a monitor could move?

OK, got an answer on this. The decoder plugs into the light board from the back side of th 21 pin socket of the decoder.
Just never occurred to me to try that until I had time think about it.
