Products seem pretty cool, and of course pretty clever to use Unitrak as a basis for most of the products. Of course by my own necessity I'm probably going to pick up some of those CNJ coaches.

I just ordered the American Gothic house kit.  This is a model of the house in Iowa that was the backdrop in Grant Woods "American Gothic."  I have visited the painting twice this summer at the Art Institute in Chicago.

The kit was 12.50 Euros with 7.50 Euros shipping.  PayPal total was $24 and change USD.  Didn't seem out of line for a kit I would expect to pay $30+ if it was in an LHS.

Is the building pictured something different than what’s shown available on the web site? This looks to be a full standalone three story building vs. the modular four storefront flats shown on the web site. Unless I’m looking at it wrong.
Gotta order that house, regardless.

The brickwork seems to be nicely engraved, but I don't see how the side walls would be tall enough for 3 stories. Unless there is another sheet of parts included.

I didn't see the building JohnB shows in the first post (above) on the website either.  I agree with Peteski that the side walls don't look three stories tall.  On the tan sheet that the window sashes are on there appears to be a modern double door while the brick front has a single arched top door.  Confusing?

That set makes up into a 2 story building, not 3.  If you look closely, you will see "A1" and "B1" on the parts that make up the front of the building (the pilasters of A1 fit around the center door).  Sheet A1 fits on top of B1.  Likewise, there is an A2 and B2- which fit together to make the back of the building.  The side walls are marked as S1, S2, and the parts that back them up are R1 and R2.

Easiest way to see this is to rotate the photo 90 degrees so the top of the building parts are properly oriented.

Definitely different than either model offered on their website.
@johnb - what is the original source of the photo?  Is this something they are planning, or something they discontinued?

Also the 1mm thick material is about 6.25" scale thick. The windows will be inset by 6.25", and the features on the outside (like arches over the windows) will protrude by 6.25 scale inches.  That seems somewhat excessive to me. 0.5mm material would have worked better.  At least visually.

My American Gothic house kit arrived from France in only 11 days.  Well packed!   I'm in the midst of a large structure project so it will be at least a month before I start on this new kit.
