The voting for the Seventeenth Annual N Scale Vehicle of the Year Awards will open soon!  You may vote for one vehicle in the New model category, and for one vehicle in the Enhanced model category.  I will post a link to vote online as soon as the voting site is ready.

You can preview the nominees on the sample ballot shown below:

No, the purpose of the N Scale Vehicle of the Year Awards is to encourage manufacturers.   ;)

I don't mean to be crass but maybe CMW would get the kind of encouragement they need if their vehicles weren't nominated.   ;)

Here is the link for voting online:  https://www.nscaleenthusiast.com/nsestore/NSE_Vehicle_Voting17.asp

Remember to vote before the June 30, 2021 deadline, and only vote for one model in each category.  While you are not required to vote for a model in each category, doing so helps me in tabulating the votes!  Each member of a household who has an interest in N scale vehicle models is encouraged to vote; however, please limit the voting so that each person votes only once in each category.

I agree.  Not voting for the wagon for sure.  We need fewer new products like that "thing".  There are others in that category that look much, much better (even if I have no use for a tractor).  :)

Has NSVA always been part of NSE, or is that new?

Carter's NSVA is a wholly separate entity from the NSE, but we are happy to help gain exposure for the effort and host the voting and vehicle display at every NSE hosted convention. He is a valuable contributor to the magazine and he and his wife Nancy are fun additions to our conventions.

Thanks George.  I just did not remember this being on the NSE website in the past- or just never noticed.

Hopefully the combined efforts encourage better N scale auto/truck/vehicle models in the future.

Just a reminder that the voting for the Seventeenth Annual N Scale Vehicle of the Year Awards ends June 30, 2021.  While many have voted, the overall vote count is not as high as last year's at this time.

Here is the link to vote online:  https://www.nscaleenthusiast.com/nsestore/NSE_Vehicle_Voting17.asp

Thank you to all how have voted so far!  And be sure to vote for one NEW model and one ENHANCED model.

Wasn't the Wheels of Time Side boom dozer released this year? Or does it not fit within the timeframe for this contest?

The Wheels of Time Allis-Chalmers HD 21 side boom tractor/crawler was released before the March 31st cut-off date, but not in time for me to have it built and photographed for this year's awards.  It is a potential nominee for next year's Enhanced N Scale Vehicle of the Year Award.

Wow, what a difference a day makes!  We now have more votes cast this year than last year!  Thank you, and if you have a modeling friend with an interest in N scale vehicles, be sure to let them know they need to vote on or before June 30th.

Maybe we will even get a record number of votes this year!

I just received an email from NSE about the Awards and it stated "While many have voted, the overall vote count is not as high as last year's at this time. ". In light of your post (which arrived before the email, I found it humorous.

That sentence was supposed to come out of the text before the NSE email was sent.  When that happens, I believe it is technically called an oopsie.    ;)
