Network security is a useless obstacle to ease of use, until you experience a total breach. Wherein many discover that a couple seconds to log in a password or tap a thumb scanner far outweighs having your accounts wiped out in an evening.

Absolutely, but that is apples to oranges relating to the earlier discussion about browser silently blocking unsecured contents linked form secured sites.  But generally speaking you have a point.

If you’re not to deep into this have you considered using 1x2 as a base and having a domino concept. I’d be worried about the particle board warping.

Whatever.  I don't give a crap anymore (ESPECIALLY SINCE SOMEONE AGAIN HAS DOWN-VOTED ALL MY RELATED POSTS).  What was so bad in them that they deserved that?  Me stating that it would be helpful to have some sort of indication provided why the images are not being displayed.  Give me a break.  :RUEffinKiddingMe:  Whoever is doing that - you ****!

Why don't you just ignore them and move on?  You're acting just like they want you to act.  C'mon man, it's just social media at it's best.

Thanks Wood, a consideration for 1x2's with the particle board on top, resting on brackets. I notice all of these type shelf layouts are like that.

@chuck geiger - I’ve been meaning to ask, why’d you decide to move from Page to Yuma for your retirement. It’s been a lifetime since I’ve been to Page & Yuma, which was when I was about 8 years old. I was born in Phoenix and we moved to Texas in 1961 and I’ve only been back once. We visited Page to see the Glen Canyon Dam being built, and that made an impression, but Page was mainly a construction town at the time. As far as Yuma is concerned, I remember sand dunes, an Air Base of some kind, lots of farming close to the river and that’s about all that impacted my little kid brain.

The children and grandchildren are in San Diego and Fresno. This is way out of the way. Yuma is halfway between SD and Phoenix and has grown into pretty fair size city of about 150k. We got a rockin home there and are taking our time moving there.

Exactly. I keep telling Pete he needs to stop fixating on those arrows and respect counts, and focus more on making sure each post is actually respect worthy. In the end, quality contributions will easily outweigh any handful of people messing with him.

And to prove the point, I make sure to downvote any post in which he mentions the voting system.

No no! They're dimensional lumber with plywood! Not particle board. That stuff is so bad even I won't use it ;)

Thanks. Figured it was family related. That’s not a bad sized town… large enough to have almost everything you need available locally, but not too big where the big city issues (traffic, taxes, traffic, air quality, a-holes in traffic) aren’t mentally crushing.

Yuma also has trains, and a haunted jail.  :)

Heh.... cool reference, man.  Loved the movie (the '57 version, I mean).

I meant the sub roadbed rests on stringers of 1x2's, whatever the choice is. I used it for the 2x4 sheet with
foam on it for the last 2 of my 2x4 layouts. I had the particle board 2x4's ripped it into a few 1x4 shelfs for the brackets with
the foam on top. 79 dollars for 4x8 marginally thick plywood at Lowes.

Found this and answered some of my questions and concerns. Even though MDF is better than particle board.

I wouldn’t choose either MDF or Particle Board, but MDF is coated.

Nah, it was the 3:10 to Yuma.  It left Contention, AZ at 3:10.

And the Russell Crowe version is really good too.
