Work continues on the coal trestle. Built the supports from styrene, used PC board and wooden ties, emplaced the dirt ramp from foam, now installing the piles of coal in each bin (shown are foam forms). I still need to add the back walls of the bins and a walkway along the elevated track. Plus then paint and weather everything. Obviously add scale coal. And probably find a wheeled coal conveyor to park in one (or two) of the bins.

This kind of coal dealer is a lot of work to build. Add to that I had to grind off the wheels on some Alloy Forms Model A trucks and install resin wheels from Rasputin to get them to the correct frame height (one in the second bay from the right). AND now I'm going to have to make some dump beds for the coal trucks.
But that's not all! This dealer also sells fuel oil, so I'm going to have to make a piping arrangement and pump shed that goes under the first bay past the embankment, where the tank car is to be spotted. Yes, it'll look jury-rigged but the history is the coal dealer was there first and only after WW2 did he decide to handle fuel oil, too. Thus the "added on after the thing was built" look.
