The civil war coupler sorta looks like a link and pin system.. but you could easily trim off the nubs.

A few other Draw-Barred cars...
Some TTYX wind turbine flats
Some 50' air slides
Oh, and 33' open hoppers.

Note, the above couplers are designed to use a 905 (Z scale) coupler box.

With the pivot post diameter the same for both the N and Z couplers, it seems the drawbars would work with 1015 boxes also.
