The Wine Railway Appliance company made hopper and drop bottom gondola door mechanisms. EDIT: Nevermind....that part is of course in the caption to the photo at the link provided on the header above.  Which serves me right for not following the link BEFORE posting. The only reason I know this is that Wine hardware was spec'ed on C&EI diagrams for the fleet of drop bottom cars (C&EI moved all their coal in gondolas until WWII, and they had thousands).  I would guess that hopper was a Wine demo car.

But I would be in for one if it were produced.

It worked out great and matched up really well with the prototype I was trying to emulate. Good news for me since it's pretty much the only game in town if you want to make a plow like that

N scale 1949 Chevy.  This is a nice resin casting from Willmodels, a manufacturer I had not seen before.

V2 of the FDM printed PS 86' Auto Parts Highcube. Much finer surface finish compared to the first attempt. But accommodations for actually running the thing as modeled are a little chunky. Had to extend the box on an already extended truck mounted coupler to at least create a representation of extended draft gear and the ride height is a little lofty for wheel clearance on curves tighter then 30". May remix the under body at some point to address both issues.

James Will sold his excellent-quality castings on eBay.  He had a wide selection of models, and model parts in N and H0. He was also an active member here. Unfortunately he suffered a stroke few years ago and no longer makes models.  You were lucky to find that model.  I talked him into designing the IT40 forklift (for my Freedom Train model). He had the CAD design almost competed, but he never made the model. He also had several other designs in works which never came to fruition.  I wish I bought more of his models when  they were still available.

Slowly making progress with my version of ATSF 3751 class. Last boiler cut done, now I have to smooth everything and make sure it's true. Then the fun begins - sand domes
