Emptying railroad car full of scrap aluminum ?

I see gondolas being used for scrap aluminum . How do they get it out , all out ? I would think a deeper Difco side dump gon would be better if it was made . Do they rotary dump all aluminum loads in 50' gons ? Wouldn't it need to be swept clean for reuse of any other commodity ? Clam shell , then load a Bobcat in it , then a man and a broom ?  Anybody know ?

Probably with a backhoe/excavator type machine, or, at larger sites, maybe a clamshell bucket on a crane.  Then, if the car has to be cleaned, sweep it out.  If it's in regular scrap service, they probably don't bother cleaning it.

Magnet.

It's one of those trained magnets with a shovel.
