Not the best scan but the subject matter sort of makes up for it.

BCOL 4620 takes 47 cars up the York Sub through Beare on Feb12\21. This unit's had something of a nail biter of a winter... retired, but then not retired, converted to a B unit, but not actually converted (though stenciled 'No Emerg Brake Valve' on rear), then sent to CAD for a little work, including a donor nose door off one of the repainted BCOL C40-8M's that actually were retired. It's luck will run out before too long, the draper tapers are freaks and CN's in a retiring mood. In the past week all remaining GMD-1's are reported retired save for the 1439 (at Hamilton, ON), and it's probably only got days left before it's parked as well.

I was doing a little light reading this week about the Illinois Terminal RR Co. when I came across this photo of ITC GP7 No. 1605 on the interwebs:

I thought to myself that this Geep looked familiar, so I went back into my photo collection from our trip to Illinois in 2016 and, sure enough, we saw it at the Illinois Railway Museum.  My daughter apparently liked No. 1605 so much that she thought it was a lollipop.  :P

funny thing is they have been tied down in that exact spot about 30 hours now.  And that passing siding normally hosts 4-6 meets a day.
