For traditional DC layouts what are you using for power supplies to power up the control unit?  My power packs only have variable DC and AAC accessories. My turntable is located at the opposite end from my control cab. Curious as to what you solutions you have found?

I have the first run turntable, not sure if the hook up is different from the later, DCC friendly version, but mine is just connected to the AC accessory connection on my MRC Controlmaster 20 power supply.

Works like a champ, except when the gears crack, but that's another story.

I’m not here to argue

I have used the Miniatronics Wall Transformer.  It seems to work very well with the turntable

I just use the ac accessory on a toy train transformer, I picked a couple up at train show for $2 and $3 each.

I have an old MRC 501n that I think I will use to get it up and running. Then decide later if I want to tie it into the main cabs.

I got it up and running. The old power pack works just fine.  I now either need to find a much longer cord for the control unit or piggy back 3 more units together to reach my control cab. It is funny that you need to home the bridge every time you turn it on.
