I don't know if Kentucky has a legal limit for sawlogs, but we have some trees at least 9 inches in diameter in front of our old house.  We moved out 25 years ago, and two of the trees are where I used to park, so they've grown that big in less than 25 years.

One advantage the tree on Chuck's diorama could have is a better supply of water.  There's probably a downspout on that corner, and the water would go straight to the roots.

I put together an Intermountain tank car kit. Most of the grab handles were replaced with wire. Ready for paint and weathering. And I’ve got another one half done.

I keep telling myself this is what I want to do (replace IM plastic handrail for wire). Did you create a template or just bend to fit? What did you use for the ladder? GMM?

I bent it to shape. A template would probably be a good idea, but I only have two to do. The ladder is GMM, but it looks a little chunky in the picture. I wonder if the BLMA ones would be better. If they're available.

Just purchased a bowser Pennsylvania railroad N5. Got my staging going up and should be able to run trains soon on my early PC layout. Lots of scenery to do yet.

I'd love to see Bowser do an N scale N8 cabin car.  I have some brass ones though.  I talked to the Bowser rep at Trainfest a few years ago and he said it probably wouldn't happen because there were so few RR's that used them.  I've acquired enough Bowser N5's and N5c's, so I probably don't need to buy any more of those.  I also have several various brass N5's as well.  I just like collecting them I guess...

Final version of the B&O Pressed Steel Truck. The bearing journal are honestly a guess. The photo's I can find don't reveal much about the shape. There are a pair of these trucks setting in the B&O Museum yard on a MOW flat but I can't find any better photo's except in my color guide. I also understand that these are not "Pressed Steel Car Company" trucks but something B&O built or had built specific for the C-15 Baggage.

Designed for MTL length axles. Will take 33 or 36" wheels. (Didn't have any MTL length 36" Metal wheel sets handy for the photo.)





The nubs are because these were a quick test to check wheel clearance and rolling properties. There was no cleanup of the supports. BTW - They roll as good as any freight truck I have seen with plastic or metal wheels.

Now, if Tony can just 3D print a working copy of himself, we could get both the I-5 caboose and the C-15 express cars in short order.  Maybe he needs 2 copies of himself, since he is still working on the 5 cars for his "Cincinnatian", the last I heard.   

Whenever, it's worth the wait.
