@mu26aeh,

I actually told Ed on Saturday while we were eating lunch in New Freedom that we should crash your party.  Oh, and you just might have an Athearn HO scale Seaboard Coast Line GP9 in stock at your shop that I may want to take off of your hands.  ;)

One of them almost left last night.  A couple was in late and she narrowed it down to that or a George Bush 4141.  Flipped a coin and the 4141 won.

She chose wisely.  Yay for me.  :D

According to the website, there are 2 available.  Shall I tell Brian to pack them up for you ?  :D :D

Yeah, you probably should.  An SCL GP9 is one of those engines that will fit within a couple of the multiple eras that I run on the layout.  (That, and we'll never see the Intermountain GP16.)

P.S.  Sorry, Ed, for the hijack.  Back to you!

One of my favorites.

This is the view that a train just entering the layout should have.

I love the week I take off between Christmas and New Years.

Here's a little pic of Windsor St. after I did some painting.

That’s a GP30, all right.  But you don’t know why you’re loving it?  ‘Cuz it’s a GP30!  ;)

Yep! And it's a very important GP30. It's the engine that got me back into modeling Conrail when I got it in trade from @GonzoCRFan back around 2003.

I got started looking at the CRCYC after that and fell in love.

It's an old school Atlas one and haven't gotten into DCCing it. They other day I realized I could swap in the sound guts from a recent GP35 and it's back in business.

It'll be just like when I was a kid running hot wheels trains on the carpet. I see no problem. Good for 20.

I did a bit more work around Windsor St yesterday.

I also realized I read the map wrong when painting on the road. Oh well!

I started to see what a train leaving the yard would look like.

The Windsor Street Yard area is coming along.

The RIP track

And the "engine terminal". In reality, it's a couple of tracks to hold local power between assignments. It's also where that coaling tower that @John is working on will go.

Of course it's all just cut to fit and sitting there for now. I want to get the whole thing roughed in before I start soldering, adding turnout control and adding feeders.
But at least it's starting to look like something now.
