Since I was fortunate to be involved in some of that layout construction, I can affirmatively state that's the "before" picture.  What still surprises me is that the "Beastie" (Casselman crossing and river scene) was able to be cut out of that and survive a trip across the Chesapeake Bay to a new home.  With the tearout of @seusscaboose's layout, however, I assume the Beastie ended up in a landfill.  :?

It was truly a game of millimeters!  Note the tri level auto racks... My era was pre-double stacks, so that was the clearance gauge.  There may have been an 1/8" clear above those Ford LTDs... :D

But I've been told I have a talent for getting big things to fit into tight places... :trollface:
