Oh my!   :o  Thanks for sharing...
I just got a couple of T1's off eBay for what I thought was a good price, but not as good as that...
I really like how they run and was tempted to get a 3rd.  Hmmm...

Not sure about the 2-8-2.  I have several brass GHB's, including a couple of handyman specials, and a few Kato's along with more than enough GHQ kits.

I am not a Pennsy modeler nor do I model steam. I think my last steam engine was a Bachmann Light Mountain or something like that bought via some highly discounted sale.

After seeing this post and looking at T-1 reviews, ordered one at $199.

I have early-run BLI PAs and E8s but switched to Loksound as soon as I saw John Colombo's installations. I was hopeful but cautious about the T-1. It certainly looks imposing and artful.

Well, I received it today and I am impressed based on the little running I did so far. The sound was mega-loud out of the box (but not surprising) but amazingly clear.

I am pleasantly surprised.

Maybe I can have it race my Rapido Turbotrain on my modern, concrete-tied, double track for a perfectly fun, model railroad mish-mash.
