I just deleted a bunch of mine photos here. Mine alone had grown to 8 pages  :o and are mostly dumb stuff to make a point one time. I left all the ones that could be informative.

Yeah, I'll likely do the same and I'd encourage everyone else to do so as well.

Folks --- before you delete a bunch of stuff, give Tom a chance to check things out .. I believe the Gallery uses different storage than those images that are just attached ..

I just did it just to clean mine up. Lots of one time posts that really won't need to be referenced to in the future.

Yeah, when I checked, I found I had 3 copies of a photo of a shell I had listed on Trading Post a couple of years ago, and some other duplicates.  I figured there were better uses for those megabytes, regardless of storage issues.

Just cleaned mine out to get rid of one-time use photos, e.g., for humor.  I left anything that was tied to my build threads or the Thursday Photo Fun threads, to minimize the destruction of threads.  I cleaned out a couple of pages of photos, though.  Every little bit probably helps.  I also use Imgur now, so I don't add nearly as many photos as I once did.

Like John said, if the images were hosted in the gallery (not as post attachments), hold off with the purge. There might not be a need to delete anythhing.

I humbly request you delete things that you don't care about or think no one else will. Thanks for being tidy.
