Call me crazy. Has anyone installed a sound decoder in an circa 1983 Atlas/Kato RS-3.
Old but great runners.
I have two, well one and a half, and have installed a LokPilot Nano in the running one. The other loco is missing both trucks and has a split universal on one motor shaft. Thus I'm game to try a frame mod for a LokSound decoder. While not decoder friendly there is some room at both the front and back of the loco.
This could be a semi-retro loco: open pilot, truck mounted Rapido couplers and SOUND!
