Pacific National locos NR97/NR91 head Perth to Melbourne intermodal service #5PM5 through Snowtown, South Australia on Saturday 5 March 2020. 120 of these GE-powered 4000hp model Cv40-9i locomotives were built for the National Rail Corporation in 1997 by Goninan, ownership transferring to Pacific National upon privatisation. 23 years on they still remain the frontline locos for long-distance intermodal services across Australia.

Hi Louis,

That's Wheeling and Lake Erie 6995, ex-UP, ex-SP.  Looks like it might have passed through a leasing agency somewhere in the middle there, but the Wheeling owns it and did the patchout.

Yup, looks that way.  WE of course repatched the cab sides for their roadname and number.
