I made myself one of these things (edit: a RIP track as I was later informed) -

Not much to it really. Mainly just a lot of annoying little details

Some more annoying than others  :P

The Spur 4 rebuild is underway.  More in the AC&Y L.E. Thread.

$10,499.   :o

Not counting the crane to set it in your spot. It’s gotta be all of 1500 lbs.

Took a few minutes this evening and threw together the first of 2 Showcase Miniatures Propane trucks.  Hoping to find some Suburban decals for them.  I have Amerigas ones somewhere

Um, your layout is chock full of all sorts of (annoying?) details.  Scale replicas of 1:1 scenes.  You must really enjoy being annoyed.   :D

Excellent modeling (as usual). I have to revisit your layout blog - I haven't checked it for some time.

If this is what you are looking for:

or this:

and have a color printer, then you should be easily able to roll your own.

It appears to be the very popular Helvetica Black Italic font (or one of the many clones of it).  You should be able to create the artwork in any graphic programs (or even MS Word).  Since the decal will be applied to a white model, no need for white undercoat. Just get some decal paper, print, seal (if printed on ink jet), and apply to the model.

Thanks, Tom. I believe it's where they do small-time maintenance on railcars (swapping out wheelsets and such). The overhead portion appears to be a fall arrest structure.

Thanks, Pete. I'm always annoyed when they leave doors open, thus forcing me to model interior stuff that can barely be seen. I know, it's a personal problem, lol.
