Northern Pacific stock car project.  I came up with the idea of converting the IM Santa Fe car years ago but it was Gregg Scott who made new ends and a radial roof for it.

Working on an Atlas GP9 and about 10 MTL heavyweights The heavyweights will be painted into the Northern Pacific Pine Tree and Lowey schemes for a "1957" NP Mainstreeter.

Weathered an early 2000’s vintage micro trains gondola and made up a removable steel rail/beam load out of some peco flex track off cuts that I forgot I had in the bottom of a storage box.

I started more serious planning on my next project: a garden railroad.  It will be based on the Denver South Park and Pacific in 1884/1885 before the UP renumbering.  This week's work included picking up some new boxcars, which will need to be relettered, since there are no RTR DSP&P boxcars in Fn3 or G.  Also, I got ahold of some LGB link and pin couplers to try out:

Since the weather was nice here in the UK recently I decided to take the diorama outside for a few quick shots, nothing beats natural light for model photography

That station platform looks like something out of the Depot scene in "One Upon a Time in the West".

Continued work on the New Haven NE caboose for the wreck train. Added the body grab irons and cupola anchor wires. I forgot the small upper-end grabs so those remain to be done. Also decided to add an LED to the leftover EP-3 headlight and tested routing the leads into the body.

My workbench mag-lamp went tits up on me this week, so I wasn't able to do any actual modeling. However, given the gorgeous weather today, Plan B was to drop the top on my Jeep and go out and get some proto photos for future projects -
