Need a Good Pin Vise for #80 Bits

My pin vise has decided it's no longer going to hold onto #80 bits and I need a new one. It never held them super tight to begin with. Any recommendations for a good one?

Starrett

Agree with Bryan- the Starrett 166A.   Best one I've ever used.

Your thread is perfect timing for me, because I have two pin vises that will no longer (or never did) hold bits smaller than about #75.  Thanks for the information to all who responded!

Ordered!  Two different size Starrett pin vises, and while I was at it, I stocked up on drill bits and #11 and #17 blades, which should be delivered tomorrow by Amazon.

Thanks again,

I ordered a group of like 20 different pin vices once. Then I got a Starrett.

Ah ha.  With  a Starrett and assuming you don’t loose it you never have to buy another one.

Well with those 20 or so pin vices only 2-3 could hold a #80 bit tight and then they only did it for a while and wore out. I bought the small Starrett and have been good ever since.

The amazing thing is, the Starrett isn't all that expensive. ~$20 is very reasonable for a good tool such as this.

I just ordered the Starrett pin vise from Amazon above .... I have been needing a good pin vise for size 75-80 bits for a while.  I am really looking forward to getting it!

I received two different sized Starrett pin vises on Friday.  This weekend, I fixed coupler issues and standardized the installation on my passenger car fleet, so I can reliably run my 1980s Amtrak Silver Star.  Already, I am convinced that I will not need to buy a pin vise for a very long time.

Thanks again, guys!
