Conrail and Its Predecessors - Brian Solomon

Good evening,

I have to say what has sold me on this book was the first chapter about the author growing up with Conrail.  This definitely struck a chord with me because this was the railroad that I grew up with. You always read these fine books about people who grew up with the Valley or Pennsy in their backyard, but I've never seen an author's perspective about growing up with the "Big Blue."  The photography and narrative of this book is a nice comprehensive history of the 23 year history of CR and compliments what Scott Hartley put forth with Conrail Volume 1 and 2.

Thank you,

Adam

With this book, the White River book and the CRHS Caboose book heading to the publishers, CR fans will be getting lots of history lessons...
