Second project from me this week.  A massive bridge mockup!  Check out the details over in the Free-moNebraska thread.

A 400 foot span from a nearly 1700 foot bridge.  I roughed out the uprights and did a quick 3D print.  2 and a half feet long, this span is going to look awesome!

Similar sized span thru truss bridge build here if you are interested: https://www.nscale.net/forums/album.php?albumid=1138

@Dave V consider my layout your Portrait of Dorian Gray.  Your work gets continually better, and mine gets increasingly primitive.

That a$$ clown on the facetoobs is free to lose sleep over your work.  He's free to get an ulcer, pull out his hair, and keel over of a myocardial infarction.  He's also free to perform certain biological acts upon himself that under ordinary circumstances might be considered impossible, or at the very least uncomfortable.

I appreciate the support, Lee, but I wouldn't call him that, nor would I assault his character.  He disagreed with my choice...we do that all the time here.  I was frustrated by the manner in which he chose to do so, but then again, misinterpretation and misunderstanding are no strangers to the Railwire either.

DKS:  I like the rocking chair, and agree that it needs the cat.  As for the comment that the chair legs are "too long" relative to the persons, I don't think that's the issue.  A closer look shows she's pulled her legs up, so the backs of her knees aren't on the seat of the chair.  Maybe the cat isn't in just the right place, and they're both trying to get comfortable?  Once she puts her legs down, things should look fine.

Chair legs too long compared to the old lady’s legs, but otherwise brilliant.

Between the slightly awkward pose and the fact that she's quite small, it does make the chair legs look too long. But if I pose a full-size seated man in the same spot, he fits perfectly. Some people are naturally short, so I may give her a little stool for her feet, assuming I use it on the layout, and assuming you can still see her feet through the porch railings... Or, I may use a different person!

OK, so just for sh!ts and giggles, I created an old lady in a rocking chair, per @Chris333 . I didn't animate the cat, but I put the cat in her lap instead, so now it's also animated--sort of. Only took a couple of hours. Not sure if I'll include it on the layout or not; it's not my best work, since it was a joke, but it didn't come out half-bad.

Next old lady in a rocking chair idea...seen through a window in a dimly lit room in a decrepit house rocking as you hear "Norman" screamed out intermittently...

Well, you're in luck, because I just completed the drive system, so now it runs all on its own.

When it's installed (most likely in the Foxx and Vollmer law offices), it'll be accompanied by a green banker's desk lamp... something I've wanted to model for a while, which will help illuminate the fan.

As usual, DKS has won the entire hobby, and raised the bar to the point where we are going to need NASA to even come close to getting to it.  :D :D

Worked on the two parts of my Walthers feed mill kit.  The barn is just about done, while the mill building (going to be a landscape company) needs downspouts and supports above the loading dock.  I scratched the dock 'cause the plastic kit part was pretty janky:

Might be effective to sand her butt flat to let her sit lower on the seat. Still brilliantly executed.

My progress for this weekend.

The E8's are just about ready for a clear coat and re-assembly.

I started the new front and rear hand rails for the SW900 (4628) Started the dynamic brake housing on the SW8.

Thanks,
Wolf
