Sick and tired of video calls for work.  I decided that I needed to start doing something during my lunch hour:

Started with a Horribly Oversized Intermountain Car earlier this week.

Worked my way down to weathering an ESMC X72 boxcar (http://esmc.com/2280/Item2282.html) from @bbussey

@mark dance
Did you have those valves designed on Shapeways or were they already available?

I updated my YouTube channel, and found the video editor to add some music here and there.  I have a bunch more to do...  But here's a sample.

Slowly getting comfortable with this 3d printing thing. Still having some failures but my son found this on thingverse so I decided to make it printable. He's building a station for a T-Track module that he is working on. It needed a drink vending machine. Nuka Cola anyone?

Except for the handle being too fine to print, and the relief on the lettering not being deep enough, it looks pretty good. Even bottles of cola in the machine printed. Still need to paint it other than the primer and make some decals for it.

Brian and Dave: I sliced the valves off of 3D printed "pig launchers"  https://www.shapeways.com/product/NSQDR7KEE/n-scale-pig-launcher-2pc?optionId=56320353&li=marketplace  They are over-sized but get the point across.

OK, I've heard of pipeline pigs, and knew what they were used for, but had never heard of a "pig launcher".  Makes sense...

Spookshow:  Depending on your location, ancient pickups as farm trucks might not be out of line.  Well into the 80s there were a lot of 1950s trucks still running around eastern Washington, and some are probably still there today.  Farmers loved them because, no matter how beat up they got, they could be repaired on the farm.  As long as they could fix the engine and transmission, everything else could be patched up enough to keep it in service.

Good to know since I certainly have more than my fair share of old pickup trucks running around town. As for the grain elevator, I've never seen anything over there that wasn't strictly modern. So, I still plan on getting rid of the rest of my 1954 Fords.

This is still very much a work-in-progress, but I've been working on and around the lake.  I call this, "Kudzu and cattails."

Good Ole 470 still in grey flying photo chase still.  When the T-Birds did their fly over of Vegas, T-Bird 4 took a bird strike in the canopy and had an Inflight Emergency back to Nellis. So we only got a 5 ship with 2 photo chases
