I like it simple at this point. I don't have the time or energy to go full on car card etc. JMRI is a none starter in my world, but thats me. Once I retire then I plan on getting into the weeds with switching. I like this
[/url] I like the idea of using pics of each car and minimal info. A lot of his stuff is great for beginners and some advanced stuff as well. Doing switching the way Steve does it gets the job done and keeps me interested in growing my switching skills.

A local club has a small Inglenook switching puzzle that they bring to shows that uses this scheme; there are only eight cars to keep track of, and it works very well. Just shuffle the cards when the puzzle is solved, and go again.
