The UP and NS are overdue. Kato website says 9/2020 (DC) and 10/2020 (DCC/DCC-sound).

Has Kato indicated the delay and an updated delivery date?
Pushing them ~6 months is not typical of Kato.

The earlier posts were referring to the CSX and SP ones and that is what I was referring too as well.
These Locos in SP have been long on my wish list.
The UP and NS ones should be out very soon IIRC.

I see the new release for SP and CSX are for 2021. Hoping the UP and NS for 2020 arrive soon.

I’d love to see what those look like under shell when you get one Ryan.
Looking at the various DCC boards that drop in I’m suspecting the esu LS variants will follow previous Kato releases of this nature as “special order” is quoted.   So im not expecting a plug and play ESU LS5.  For me, that will mean dc versions and my own LS install. It so happens I have a 73100 select micro and a ls5dcc micro spare, so might be a good way to compare installations.
I should be retired by spring so will have plenty of time but not much spare money🤔

And yeah, MTS doesn’t do pre-orders.  I tried adding to cart too, just to be sure. 🙁

The -DCC versions should be up a few weeks after that.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I won't go into, the LokSound versions probably won't start shipping at the end of December at the soonest.

The flipside to that wait is you're going to get a better product.

I'm not sure if this question has been answered before...are these using the same mechanism as the original flat radiator SD70Ms or are they riding on the newer design?

Hmmmm, intrigued I am!
With a previous comment about a possible 73100ish and Kato version Loksound V.5 board in the works and this postponement, one can only speculate as to why the wait.  Only time will tell!
