My usual go-to is clear styrene or acetate.
Because why not...

That’s what I plan to use.  Clear styrene likely. I channeled out the entire window band so that after the sides were laminated on I had a channel that the clear material could be installed into. Then the interior wall covering will be cut to match the sides so that the inside and outside of the windows match.
