JPWisc:  I suspect that, since Pat had to find a new producer, he also kept accepting pre-orders from dealers, and then sent the updated totals to the new supplier. 

Products would still sell out quickly, since few extras were made, but everyone who ordered before the new supplier was contracted should get their orders.

Still, that gave me an opportunity to voice my dissatisfaction with the Trainworx marketing methods. I love their models, but the sales model? Not so much!

I have a feeling it has something to do with a desire to "stay below the radar" for certain things. And also possibly to keep the business manageable.

Ugh, just got email my LHS trainworx supplier went out of business, and order not forwarded.  Placed reservation with Hogtrainz,  hope they get enough to cover

FWIW, those who didn't pre-order any, new to n-scale, something happened to your pre-order, or just want more of these excellent products, etc... Jeff has plenty in stock at Lombard Hobbies!

Were you already notified from Hogtrainz ?  I placed order the other day when I found out my first supplier wasn't getting any, and I have not heard anything other than the order confirmation

Paul sent me an email last night saying that my reservation (placed in August) came in way too late and that he wouldn't be able to provide me with any of the 7 that I'd ordered. My bad I guess, but I didn't know until August that I was even in the market for 53' trailers.

Quick check this morning...  Looks like Lombard is almost out of stock on the trailers (Xtra reefer only one showing left on website) and running low on the mid and raised roof cabs!
