Your Santa Wishlist to Manufacturers for 2020

Sadly, my list is about half what it was in the two years since the last brought up. Though the Horizon cars are being produced by Rapido and AC4400CWs are inevitable with Scale Trains, its just when they decide to officially announce them. ExactRail did finally release the UCEX cars earlier this year. Kato has done two runs of UP 1943, and maybe the FVM/NSE version will be before too long.

It was discussed in a different thread that the UP CA-11 class caboose is pretty much UP only, so that UPP 24567 is most likely mute, same for UPP 400/401.
Athearn isn't likely to really produce a new loco in N scale, so that GP40P-2 is unrealistic.

Supposedly, there is an N scale manufacturer that is looking to possibly produce the SD70ACu (rebuilt SD90/43MACs).

Merry Christmas Chris and all TRWers,

My wish would be for an N Scale SP cabforward, in just about any model. Would prefer an AC-12 but they make a good looking AC-4 in HO. BLI any interest? ? ?

I would like to see Athearn finally update the details on the N scale 20k tank cars.
It would be nice to see IM will run the GP11s (not holding my breath).
I am looking forward to NARCs 5431 covered hoppers. They will add a little diversity to my earthworm.

My Christmas wish? Somebody entering the business of selling 3D CAD files targeted to N scale modelers, for production on their own printers. I know I'd pay $80-100 for decent artwork for, say, a UP ORE-70 class jennie, so I could print several dozen. And then there are figures, which look so much better off of a Photon (etc.) than ever possible with injection plastic.

ARA standard and alternate standard single sheathed boxcars.

Mather patent boxcars.

Soo Line Sawtooth cars

Fowler patent cars (36 and 40 foot)

Basically any Steam Era tank car that isn't a ACF type 27!

I would also love to see a line of boxcar parts (roofs, ends, doors, cores) it would make kit bashing much more enjoyable...

A ScaleTrains N scale GP30 or SD40
Jason

I would be down for both of those, with and without DB!

I second the non-USRA single sheathed boxcars!

Gondolas - USRA mill, AAR 52'-6", and Greenville 52'-6" (that are actually the right length and ride low)

Steam locomotives - PRR I1s or J!.  B&O Big Sixes.

Diesel locomotives - FM high-hooders (H-10, H-12, H-20-44).  Baldwin DRS 6-6-1500.

Edit...Oops, re-wrote that one too many times. let me get my priorities in order....
MERRY CHRISTMAS!  HAPPY HOLIDAYS!....
ok, now back to our regular programming...

I'd also be in for some of the ARA 1923 and later/Fowler/anything single sheathed with metal ends and some door options.  Seems like this need for single sheathed cars that are NOT USRA has come up 2 or 3 times recently on various threads.  I would be fine with resin kits if no major manufacturer wants to do injection molding.

Here's my post from 2018-
Quote
1. Shapeways to ship me a model I can paint when I take it out of the box (with maybe a quick wash in dish soap, which I do to everything I paint anyway).

2. That set of skills that some of you possess that lets you do more on your railroad projects in week than I get done in 6 months.

3. A single windo....  Oh, never mind...
And addendum from later in the thread
Quote
You would think that if 6-3 and 8-1-2 (among the most common Pullman sleepers of the transition era) are made in Z scale, they would be available in N.  Take a look at the AZL line of heavyweights.  Not to mention plethora of roadnames.  I don't have any idea how hard they are to get, and what is in stock vs preorder vs long out of stock, but Z scale clearly has more heavyweights available than N scale.

Add the single sheathed boxcars, and QUALITY SANTA FE STEAM.  I would also love some GTW passenger steam, but that is probably too much to hope for.

And on Shapeways (from top of my lists)- I hope they get over their dimensional stability issues to  the point that designers feel confident in their roof and car body designs meeting spec.

GP50s, they're all I need.

More SD40s or flat radiator SD70Ms from Kato would be nice as well.

FM H10/H12-44 (in NKP paint, of course).

New LL Berk (from new tooling owner Atlas) with traction tire and Mars light and ESU Loksound (as an option; don't be like BLI and force sound on those who don't want it).  Will take one of each of 12 numbers.

And if anyone wants to try their hand at a C&O Allegheny, I'll take 2 of those, too.
