Really cool stuff happening here already!  Looking forward to seeing it all next fall.  Should be quite a show!

So using stuff I have laying around the house, and time that could be better spent on more lucrative pursuits, I decided to whip up a small Christmas themed layout that will be gifted to my brother.

The case was used to display a chess set by my uncle.
I'll be adding some winter scenery. And some twinkly lights to amuse his grandson.

Next I have to decide on which little switcher and cars will be sent along with it.

The box is about 16x22.

If I was @DKS the doors would go up and down, the lights on the fire truck would flash, and the interior lights would cycle from on to off to represent the day/night lighting of a firehouse Christmas Garden.  Oh, and there'd be an operating train layout inside...

But I'll settle for drilling a bunch of holes and gluing a set of cheap lights to the wall!

The utility company came to put the wires underground.

In the time honored Christmas Garden tradition, we have glowy spots in the roofs and walls!
