Good Day,

We hope your Thanksgiving was great. We have been stuffing new schemes and new product molds every week. There will be more products in 2020 than ever before with the addition of our new 53' 8-55-8 prototypical containers to bring more properly modeled schemes to the market. Look for more information on these next month. We have had a great year in production as well as brand awareness. We are always open to suggestions of new products/ideas and schemes and no, you don't have to give us seventeen different reasons why we should do that scheme or product, we got that covered.

Over the past year we have been able to bring a variety of new products and customer driven paint schemes from modelers sending us pictures. Please continue to do this and send your ideas and photos of what you want to see to service@jtcmodeltrains.com

The next several months will include:
standard height containers -6 Body styles (Starting this month)
new 53' 8-55-8 - several fronts, sides and door ends, with different placard placements - to match prototype -Road name Specific -  Q2 2020
new release of the JTC highly decorated bulk tank - Q1 2020
more JTC 40' chassis - in two packs - Q1 2020
new tooling on some COOL stuff  - :O
our new 9 post well car - by Q2 2020
and much much more!

Did I miss the 20' containers? My "LHS" still hasn't received the ONE container or the 2019 Christmas Container.

Also, I have a passenger train addiction...

I wish you'd provide era information for these.  Most of them I know are far too modern for my 1974 railroad, but some of the earlier ones aren't as obvious.  Unlike boxcars, it isn't easy to research old containers!

I think you want one of the smooth sides, probably either NYK or Japan Line or both.  I'll check my photo collection when I have a bit more time.

Japan Line at the least:

http://www.carrtracks.com/cateh335sf5933.htm

Not sure what happened to that Sea-Land box, which appears to be a 40'. The one to the right appears to be a 35' box.

K Line hasn't made an appearance yet from JTC, but they had a lot of 20' boxes in the late 60s, as did Compass and Japan Line (all from various NP images/publications, so pre 1970). K Line also had 40' boxes but the images I've seen of those on NP publications shows them on chassis, not as COFC>

Jagged Ben and Samusi01:  Thank you, but I already have the Japan Line reserved, since it was announced last month.  I also have an NYK, but it's a different part number.

And, K Line has been announced, and I have one reserved:  "Jacksonville Terminal Company K-LINE 40' Container, Announced: Nov 2019, Part Number: JTC405655"

My comment was more of a general request, so that I won't have to keep asking every time something new comes out.  Even with the older boxes, the lettering often changes.

For instance, Hapag-Lloyd used to have white lettering, on blue squares, on aluminum containers.  Now, they're blue lettering on orange.  When did they change?  I know the old scheme has been around since the 60s, as I have a container from back then (Minitrix), but can I use the orange ones?

And, yes, that is definitely a 40 ft Sea-Land container. Good catch!  I have one of those, from MT, and have wondered when they started using them.  And two different lettering schemes!

That is a modified 35 footer. I don't think we'll see a model of that any time soon.  ;)

If you search on eBay for “seatrain TOFC”, you’ll find a 1973 PC train with a lot of Seatrain containers on chassis. Sheet and post, so they look like the upcoming JTC release.

An intermodal group post indicates this was a PC/ATSF train, so it may or may not be appropriate for your location.

Hopefully I can find something similar for 1969/1970 NP.

Thank you!  I noticed only one yellow flatcar, so this must be just as TTX started repainting.
