Adam:

Is it me, or does some of that ballasted track look unpainted?

Guilty as charged   I got ahead of myself on some of it.  Glutten for punishment I guess, time for micro brushes and paint pens  :|

Yard tracks are usually pretty monochromatic (mud, rust, and grime mixed with old cinders)  You can probably hit that with the same rattle can, and call the overspray "weathered ballast"...  Then you can pretend you meant to do that, patent the process, and make a fortune!

Adding more GP15s to the YorkRail fleet.  Havent decided roads or numbers yet, at least 1 will be a TP&W unit, as there are 2 of them on the property.

Shout out to @GM50 4164 for installing sound and ditchlights into my YorkRail GP15s.  If only Atlas had used the correct orange for these...

Really wish I knew how they picked colors for some of the models.  The California Northern units (15s and the SD9s) have the wrong green.  I'm having a heck of a time matching it.

Love the ditch lights!

Adam, I had hoped to stop by with my better half this morning, on our way home from vacation. However, it would have added at least 90 minutes to our trip and we were just ready to get back home.  Hope the Open House went well.

Attendance down 50% from last year (literally 50 people less).  Today was only 10 in the book, 2 periods of 45 minutes or more with no one stopping by.  I took 1 of those times to get the soldering iron out and fix a few wiring issues (I miswired 2 turnout frogs that were next to each, wrong wire to wrong frog) along with a few other feeders I missed.  Oh well, try again next year.

John, I used the ESU 58751 for the sound equipped unit and a 59820 Lokpilot for the non-sound unit. Added a TCS KA-N1 keep alive into the sound unit as well. These GP15's were from the latest run and have a few modifications made to them from previous versions. Improved truck electrical pickup/ contacts and a solid brass worm gear attached to the flywheel. Much more smooth and quiet while running.

I tested the new version trucks on 2 units Ben previously worked on and they ran much better.  Ill be touching base with Atlas to see if new trucks or at minimum the new contact strips are available at some point.
