Probably late to the game but I just noticed the Chessie Store has the Mainline DVD on for 89$
Pulled the trigger... I seem to remember it being 250$ when first announced.

Thanks for the tip, Ryan.  Now on my Christmas list.
Worth the time to visit the link, as they have a link to a free sample- which turns out to be a full issue.

As a COHS member, I paid $249.95 for it in April of 2016.

I wonder if this is a "Black Friday" sale, although the page says nothing about it.

I guess it's not searchable, as these are scanned .pdfs...?

What happened to that article index that MR used to support a long while back?

It’s still there: http://trc.trains.com/Train%20Magazine%20Index.aspx?view=ViewMagazine&magazineId=5
If you use the advanced search you can search for only Mainline Modeller

Thanks for the tip.  I've always enjoyed finding back issues of MM and this just saves me the time of scanning them to PDF.   I really miss this magazine and having all of them is going to add to my already dozens if not hundreds of fun ways to waste time.   :D

Scanned .pdfs can be searchable.  When I had my ICS railroad books scanned, they were all completely searchable and the searching and text were darn accurate.  You have to put the scans through an OCR program and then save them as actual text pdfs, as opposed to pdfs that just have image files embedded in them.
