I saved those pictures to my phone when Mike posted them on Facebook.
Maybe the CRHS can lobby the R&N to paint their T1 that way for a season when they're done restoring it.

Odds are that it'll be blue anyway...

Back in the late 80's and early 90 Conrail was acquiring passenger cars for heritage trips. Was the steam engine the ultimate goal?

Read the article to find out :)

If you are referring to the Conrail Steam Locomotive, where did you find the pictures?  I searched the photos and files on Conrail Modelers FB pages and could not find them.   Like many, it would be interesting to see them but I'm not so curious as to send away for the journal....CR is out of my era...

Aly wanted a train under the Christmas tree, so Santa came early this year.  She received an O scale Lionel Polar Express, which we gave to her this evening, so she can enjoy it all Christmas season.  Look at that face!

She had no problem learning how to use the handheld remote.  That was cake for her, since she has already learned how to use the ProtoThrottle on my HO scale layout.  :)

THAT ought to be a Christmas Card picture!  And a coffee mug and a calendar and an ornament and a t-shirt...well, you get the idea.  :D

I got on facebook and typed in Conrail Steam and it was the second post.. (after the CRHS post about the magazine.. and unfortunate death of the designer that did the drawings.. )

The post is about the Ebay auction, but if you go into the comments, someone posted the photos from the auction..

Oh god. Yeah this needed to go Pullman green with the imitation gold SMALL logo. This is awful.
There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away
