Well, still not sure what it is, but I sure am glad the Photon can print it!

Very cool, but if you look close at this picture, it looks like the "funnel" has a top.

Yeah I was wondering about that myself. It appears that CP capped these thing in the 70s-80s, but the covers are not there in the 50s. Rapido did not include the caps on their ho model, so I will not either.
Because why not...

Judging by the pictures on Rapido site , these funnels are only on the 19xx B unit series

Slowly making progress on the F7b detail package. Got the winterization hatch and funnel on, next up will be new lifting rings and various vents, as well as modifying the grab irons to match what was done on the A units. Then I can touch up the paint.
