Bluford Shops Bay Window Cabooses Have Arrived

I just received my order this afternoon. Bluford has hit the ball outta the park on these. Painting and detailing are excellent.

I have the D&H, EL and NYC green with the half-bay and all of the them appear to my eye to be accurate as to paint scheme and correct body style.

Maybe some of you will see errors but I give Bluford 5 stars.

I got my two Rock Island bay windows in on Thursday and they are spot on as well with the exception of needing to remove a roof walk off of one and both needing the SP style caboose lights.

I just received them in the mail minutes ago and not only was that super fast shipping, they look fantastic.

Sure they cheated a little bit here and there, but I'm not complaining. I'm very happy Bluford Shops continues to produce rolling stock for the P&LE, a hometown road who's rolling stock could be found nationwide.

Thank you Bluford Shops for these excellent additions to my P&LE collection.

Where can I find them? They are not on ebay or MBK.

I ordered direct from Craig. I assume that the retail orders will be shipped in the next few business days.

Received my P&LE pair and Bessemer pair in the mail today as well.  They are awesome!  Sadly, the ends of P&LE 501 got a little mashed at the factory so it will take some repair.  I put 508 to work, though, checking roadbed geometry on home rails on #1 main at BK interlocking:

Windows are not placed alike, but this link includes photos of a restored caboose (#330), history and has builder's photo (1953) and paint diagram-
https://www.tristaterail.org/eriec330/

"...how well this represents..." is always an "eye of the beholder" thing.  The side window placement is different.  But the paint scheme looks right on for the period between its build date and the EL merger.  Erie freight ops are not really my thing, but this looks so good, I think I'm in for one.

Are the Erie and others from the announcement in spring 2019 included in this shipment?  I am assuming we have some months yet to wait for (IIRC, the announcement had a target in 2020).

The ones that have arrived are the first two releases. The Erie was in the third release. The ETA is early 2020 like you remembered.

Bluford was still accepting reservations early in Sept. so I imagine it will be at least six months before they ship from China.

Nice! The wait looks like it was well worth it. I have two Nickel Plate ones coming from Hog Trainz.

They just appeared on ModelTrainStuff. I grabbed a Conrail one (the one I could readily find photos of online). Of course, I then realized I should've gotten the other since it's my zipcode... lol. In time, I am sure.

Yup! I just grabbed a NKP and a SOUTHERN.

For some reason the NKP and SOUTHERN we'rent showing up for me, so I had to look for 'em.

Now, I just need Atlas to make a new run of the old Lifelike Berkshire!  :D (had one, but sold it when money was tight a decade ago).
