I am as well, they really make a difference on these little switchers.

The safety chain is an old JnJ part. My supply of them is getting dangerously low so I hope I can track more down.

This week I started a collaboration project with Brett Isaacs experimenting with clear resin.

Seriously, though, the windows on that tractor look great. I'd say your clear resin experiment is working well.

Im doing a 100% rebuild on my San Luis and Rio grande.  I spent a good portion of the weekend building a 2 x 4 foot demo layout and getting things running -- the point is to figure out what works and what doesnt in my building techniques.  So far things are going mostly ok, although I have to figure out how to get my homosate to lay flat on the sub/sub roadbed (1/4 inch mdf) -- but I have locomotives going in circles so thats a good thing

The dynamic brakes were just built from pieces of styrene and some grills and a fan from some scrap shells. If I decide to do another I'll probably drawn one up and print it.

Well we made it through the Ops Session severely shorthanded.



Things we learned:
     *  You can tune a 40-year-old turnout on Monday and still have it fail on Saturday
     *  We’re not as young as we used to be
     *  I have added a lot of cars since I last tested all my equipment for reliability
     *  A sporadic short is still hiding somewhere in the wiring
     *  Operating sessions are a lot easier with a full crew.

With operators attending the MARPM, opened the door for me to guest operate at the NKP today, hosted by Tony K.  Afterward, the group headed to Harold Worthwein's to pay respects.

Steam in the Valley (Cuyahoga Valley that is) 2019 this past weekend and next.  We enjoyed a light breakfast at a park picnic area while waiting for the train.  An enjoyable start to the day.  What a beautiful machine.

My great grandfather worked for the Nickel Plate out of Cleveland.  Great to see that!

BNSF Dash8 Looking great! Are the dynamic brake housings scratch or 3-d printed/cast and what was your source? I need about a half dozen of them.

From where did that Reading Company RS-3 come?  Did Atlas ever sell one in the plain green?  I seem to recall that it sold one in yellow and green, but I do not remember plain green.
