There were several classes but the ones offered here were built from frames of retired #10000 series boxcars.
I'd guess there may have been some earlier log flats that potentially operated on the SP&S but the cars offered here operated into the BN era.

At the time of the merger, as far as I know, the SP&S had no log cars of its own.  They did have flatcars rebuilt from boxcars, and a few were still in revenue service in 1970, but apparently no log cars.

It looks like my response has been missed.
The picture was taken in Maytown, WA on the former Milwaukee mainline between Tacoma and Portland.
The line was being operated at that time by the Chehalis Western, a Weyerhaeuser Railroad after the MILW had embargoed lines West.
