The car was a proof of concept done by Dick Billings....a direct mold off of a standard M-T USRA-NYCish body.   Very clean casting with no flash anywhere between the boards and in the gaps between.

If this thread were a movie, the casting would stink. :) Or it might just be I haven't showered yet after the gym. :scared:

I have stinky FNS castings, and non aromatic ones too. Amazing detail on them, and they hold up well to offerings today.

Several of the old FNS casting I have (puke green) that I have sanded (per his instructions) like his flat cars all stank (yes, a strong, pungent, sickly-sweet odor like naphthalene and 1,4-dichlorobenzene found in moth balls), but it is less noticeable now that they have been painted.  Still, the shrinkage would be more of a concern, but I've not seen (or noticed) such yet.

Otherwise, bit fan of Dick's work.
