Curious if he was selling it or had it for sale?

He had it for sale.  I *think* it was something like $26 or $28 a box.  No shipping, take it home that same day, of course.

Kato already has an open pit track . I think this is for picking up a car or loco that is mounted to the track as a display " hey , lookie what I have " That person can invert that model / track combo and see the bottom which is now at the top .

I should have used a troll face because I was just wondering what kind of a market there truly is for this stuff.

This is what I get for speaking within earshot of Kato reps.
This is essentially part of an idea I've had for a few years now for an "Invisible" module.

Haha, I was just thinking that too. Doooo it!

Actually you know what. Hear me out.

Tron Module.

Put some plexiglass together.

Some stencils and neon markers.

Bam most aesthetic T-Track module you've ever seen.

Cody, Next time you are within earshot of Kato reps, please mention the merits of sectional track with North American tie spacing and size!  You are probably out only hope!  And it is so much a better idea than see-through ballast.

Wouldn’t the Snickers melt in the trailers on the way to the show?

Not if I was around.  :D

And larger radius curves expanding their standard geometry and spacing!

Yeah, but... the transparent base/ballast required no investment in tooling, just a batch of clear resin through the same molds used for the non-transparent pit section.

The clear track was a cute idea, but thinking that this off-the-cuff suggestion alone has lubricated a path for successfully advocating US-profile ties and ballast is doubtful. I'm sure the Kato folks at the various shows have heard the profile request dozens if not hundreds of times.
