Rochelle BigBoy Crowd and Maintenance of way vehicles

Tuesday morning I tuned into Rochelle webcam and saw about two dozen people gathered. I thought a school field trip. About an hour later there was a standing room crowd gathered so I waited to see what the attraction was and here come the BigBoy. Glad I got to see it.
This morning there was about 40+ little mainenance of way cars (each self-propelled)that came through eastbound on the BNSF line and every one of them would slow to a crawl while crossing the diamond - any one know why?
Tnx
Al

Yeah. You ever ridden in a speeder? Those tiny wheels with basically a solid suspension make for a heckuva bump when you hit the frog gaps.  :scared:

Hell, you can even see this with our models. A have a 90 degree Unitrack crossover and lots of my lighter rolling stock would jump pretty bad going over it.
