change decoder in BLI

Well I'm about at my wits end with BLI decoders. One of my T1s is miss behaving now.  I've installed some decoders in DCC ready engines and some not DCC ready. So I'm wondering if it would be a simple decoder swap once i figure out which wire is for what.   I use Soundtraxx and find them easy to install.   Anyone done this loco yet or have any ideas for me ?
Thank you,
KTB

@woodone switched over my M1's . If I remember right he said it was fairly easy .... I also like the Soundtraxx decoders . I just put a new 2200 in a Westside HOn3 loco and really love it !  Looks like they changed some of the sound files , the cylinder cocks are much better and the rod knock is much more realistic . You will have to program the BEMF by running the loco , just download the steam users manual . I ordered mine from Tony's , so it looks like he has the newest decoders , or direct from ST .....Mike
