The decals I ordered came in the mail this morning, so I was able to finish this 1938 Pullman Standard 17 roomette 1 section sleeper (plan 4068B). This car was added to the 1938 Super Chief and was the first Pullman Standard car to be regularly used in the consist.  Besides the fact that this is the only car of the lot that was used with the 1938 Super Chief (and I can run it with my Pecos River Brass models), I'm a high school band director and why not name the car Tuba (It was named after a native american chief, not the instrument).  :)

After doing some more research, I discovered the trucks are incorrect for this car; it should have 43-R trucks on it which I don't think anyone makes in N scale. It's still missing a few grab irons as well, but other than that, it is done.  I've included a photo of the prototype car taken sometime after 1958 (after part of the skirting was removed) to show the correct trucks.

Very nice!

43-R trucks are available from Susquehanna Shops on Shapeways: https://www.shapeways.com/product/2GJQBQEJY/1-pair-43-r-trucks?optionId=55109516&li=marketplace
I haven't tried them yet.

The Kato trucks for the Daylight are close (but have solid bearings rather than roller bearings, and a different brake cylinder arrangement).

Either way it would take some work to fit the trucks to ghe car.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

I'll try those shapeways trucks; thank you.

Ah! So that explains Tuba City, AZ! We visited twice and there was no low brass to be found anywhere! So disappointing...  :D

(ITEA/T.U.B.A. supposedly held an annual meeting there some years ago. My question is... "Where?")

If you are planning on illuminating the interior, Kato trucks (even though not 100% accurate, but do have the right "Napoleon Hat" appearance") would  make this really easy. Those are designed for 4-wheel electric pickup, and they roll really well too.

Busy packaging the trailers so that they'll ship along with the MTL Humvees.

Mark. Are you going to produce the Tie-Down chains that you did for M1s?  They ould be useful for these. I have a need for about 40 sets for an Australian train.

There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Like Peteski, I work nights, and have for the last 45 years.  Currently my schedule is 3pm to 11pm EDT, so I get home about midnight EDT, which is why I'm usually here around 1 AM EDT.

I hate mornings, so evenings are my favorite shift. Nights are better than days, but getting home after the Sun comes up is almost as bad as getting up before the Sun.  "Spring forward Fall back" has no effect on me, as it's always light when I get up, and dark when I go to bed!

Not a morning person either.  I work overnight  shift. Unlike you, in the Summer, Sun is  up when I go to work, and when I get back home, and in the Winter, it is dark when I go to work, and dark when I return home.

I added some window shades to the sleeper I've been working on.

Started working on an HO Ford expedition police interceptor. It came painted black and white with a light bar, but the prototype I'm modelling is white and without light bar. Toronto Police Forensic Identification Services vehicle, fleet #FIS10.

Windows and chassis removed:

Time to go to the drunk tank, officer.

Paint stripped

The prototype:

Going to re-paint the inside black. I've also got to find out if the prototype has flashing lights anywhere in it....I'm guessing no, it's not like their "customers" are going anywhere too quickly.

Probably yes, hidden in the grille and integrated into the corner lights, if it follows US practice for lower-profile LE vehicles. It's possible they might need to be in a hurry to get to some situations to preserve evidence that could be compromised by conditions not in their control.
