Delayed by the China debacle, along with some Centerflow Dry-Flo hoppers, Trainman ACF 50' Boxcars, and 40' containers, the Atlas 40 and 53 foot rebuilt well cars have finally arrived at MBK.

Long sold out (i.e., except for a pair each of the St. Mary's and Florida East Coast 53' models) on the Atlas site, as of this post, the remaining stock of TTX Forward Thinking paint schemes was in single digit quantities.

Seems to be BLMA style metal wheels and couplers.  I guess I'll have to get a couple.

According to the TTX website, in 2003, the 48 to 40-ft cut down programs were initiated for double-stack cars.

Probably some of the 53 footers.  Not the rebuilt 40s.

Hopefully the 53' TTX have a second wave of stock at MBK.
You'd think those would be the largest quantity of type/paint scheme for these new Atlas well cars.

If Atlas shorted this run that is a big missed opportunity. With Kato and Deluxe seemingly non existent with the triple Maxi IV's and all of the 53' containers flooding the market, its a no brainier to over stock these.

Glad I pulled the trigger on the TTX's when I did :)

I saw 25 each in stock when I placed my order yesterday AM...doesn't sound shorted to me...

I missed them (cuz I was out at Tehachapi watching the prototype  :lol:).  I'll put in an email alert for a restock.   Hopefully Central Hobbies ordered some as well.
