What would make it boring?   It can certainly be made to use a lot less than 20', tho I am intrigued to build something to (near-) proto proportions -- I think that leverages one of the key advantages of N scale.

I agree with you Ed; rather than being boring, you've got at least 3-4 places to spot cars on one track, plus that little cutoff track in the middle, and switching specific cars in and out of storage in the siding to the proper loading spots could keep a crew busy for a lot longer than you might think.

Plus that little unrelated grain industry on the opposite side of the main track.
