St Paul - N Scale Milwaukee Road

As a distraction from my other projects I have decided to convert a old layout which I started over 10 years ago which was to be a British diesel depot. Having started collecting some Milwaukee Road diesels this sounded like a good idea to build my first AmericaN Scale layout.

Below are some images of the progress which started last December;

Here was the starting point, a Peco diesel engine shed and a cassette off scene area.

After selecting St Paul as a prototype I set to work converting the Peco shed to look like the building in this link -  http://www.railpictures.net/photo/162702/

Next an overpass and concrete footings for the shed were added.

Tremendous Earth powder was used for ballast and weathered down using MIG powders.

Add a cut down Walthers car shed as a back drop.

And a good friend had my design for a surround laser cut from 3mm plywood.

Ok, now this I must take issue with. The barbed wire posts should be pointing the other way!

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I've added some more recent shots below after adding some more recent details and weathering.

Ed, I know what you mean about the fence. As there was no fence on the prototype there I was struggling to decide which way it should face due to it being in the middle of the yard.

Pig's Eye Yard then?  would the overpass be Warner Road?

This is some nice work

No modelling progress to report recently due to a moving house, but I've dusted it off and have been playing with lighting and camera work.

This is an off topic question, but is there a “pinhole” camera option for digital photography that will have full depth of field in focus?

I know nothing about picture taking.

Possibly,

I tend to stand further back and crop the image when taking photos like that in N Scale.
