Newest Athearn WP caboose

Please educate me. The just released Athearn WP "all red" caboose. What era is this appropriate for?

My recollection from my books on the WP is that these were Perlman Era paint jobs.

I can dig out the reference, but apparently his daughter made some statement to the effect that cabooses "should be" red. So, they became red.

So 1970 to '72 then? Maybe '76.

How were the diesels painted during that era?

The silver and orange scheme was still dominant, but some Perlman green stuff started appearing about late '73.
