Tim, nice work on the C-424.Steve
Tim , are you sure both bridge ramps on on the same end of that TOFC ?
Of course! Keep an eye out here or send a PM in a week or so, to me or to Jon. He has a dozen sets and may be able to part with a few but that I don't know for sure. Either way you can get some of these pieces, no secret handshakes or passwords required. Let Jon receive his and assemble a few, make sure everything is just so and no edits are required. Also, let him describe the process he uses on the shell to prep it because I haven't actually done that. I have the idea but not the actual experience of completing one and often there are small but important details that one who has been there can advise on. When all is confirmed good either he or I can furnish the parts. I believe it's a MT 1015 coupler that this is made to fit.
I've been working on a little conversion set to do the "deco" 40' boxcars for a friend. Having the Photon printer turned a multiple week long project (waiting on shapeways) into a weekend one.
I finally got back to work on my Briggs Dash-8. A few touch ups and some more weathering to go, but I thought a quick photo would be prudent. As always nice work on the Weekend Update.Chris
Louis:Thank you for sharing your CN modelling; I have always wanted to see one of those slugs done in N Scale. Good job!Continuing with the CN theme, MLW C-424 3218 left Jeff's paint shop and came home today. It incorporates several major changes from the Hobbycraft Canada stock model including split fuel tank, battery boxes moved from cab to under left walkway, new rear end, and numerous details added. 3218 was one of several CN C-424s leased to the British Columbia Railway during the 1970s and was known to have operated north of Prince George. It will shortly go to my friend Dave Mackinnon for lighting and decoder installation, so a few photos before then:Tim
I'm in for two as well.Doug
